Scenic view of the Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy, featuring the iconic Sella Group massif.

To the Stevia Hut via Forcella della Piza to the Firenze Hut

On the sunny side of Val Gardena

Stevia is Val Gardena’s local mountain, yet it feels like a discovery every time. Even the first few steps carry the scent of meadows and morning dew. The trail leads through light forests, along sun-drenched paths, past small lakes reflecting the blue of the sky. This route is like a walk through the soul of the Dolomites.

The starting point is the Daunëi car park above Selva di Val Gardena (1,563 m). The Palotasteig trail leads up to the Stevia Hut, continuing along trail 17 to the Forcella della pizza. The return route leads via the Regensburger Hut and the Juac Hut back to Daunëi. The walk, which takes around four hours, combines everything that makes the Dolomites exceptional: light, space, colour and pleasant temperatures – summer freshness at its finest! Experience the world with all your senses!
